That Guitar Hero Guy

It hurts to think that the next generation is going to know Slash as "The Guy You Can Unlock in Guitar Hero." One of the greatest guitarists of all-time has been garnering so much publicity and given so many interviews about Guitar Hero, you'd think he invented the game. Next thing you know, you're going to be browsing the isles of your local Costco only to find Slash Shampoo and Slash Cereal. Let's hope he doesn't turn into the next Gene Simmons.

Anyway, I was happy to read that Slash told Billboard about Velvet Revolver's plans to start work on their new album in April. Slash's exact words were "I'm really jazzed about doing it." Oh really Slash, you're JAZZED? The former badass, chain-smoking, Jack-drinking Mofo is now just a guy who gets "jazzed." Age has really caught up with you, my man. I remember when you would spend weeks in a comatose state and still be able to crank it up night after night. Now you get more excited about buying new drapes, or spending a nice little Saturday at the Home Depot than you do making music. You're one of the last true rock stars we have left, Slash. Now go throw a T.V. out a hotel window and abuse a stripper.
