Shakira Covers The xx at Glastonbury

This new free-spirited Shakira, complete with hippiechief, friendship bracelets, and thrift store shirt is way sexier than any of that creepy she wolf cage match nonsense. Am I alone in saying that? Probably.

VIDEO: of Montreal and Solange Knowles "Sex Karma" on Fallon

How uncomfortable is it seeing the face painted and intentionally awkward Kevin Barnes performing a duet with all natural and straight-forward Solange? It didn't exactly look like the two knew how to interact on stage together, but who cares, I could listen to this song all day on my iTunes. Probably the most memorable chorus I've heard from of Montreal. I'm getting pumped for the September 14th release of False Priest.

The band also treated internet folkies to a performance of "Coquet Coquette" complete with gas-mask donned sword fighters for Fallon's website.

Kanye Performs 3 New Songs For Facebook Staffers

Genius marketing. Something only Kanye could pull off. Look at the amount of cell phones here! Users put these songs up on Youtube and Twittered all damn day about this performance.

Kanye performed 3 songs, rumored to be on his upcoming album, all a capella. No beats or music of any kind. Just the man and his words. Sounds like Kanye's back.

Two-A-Days: Guards and Sri Aurobindo

With less than an EP's amount of material to go on, Cults could attach their name to anyone and I'd buy into it. That's exactly the situation with Guards. The song "Sail It Slow"is a dark and gloomy track that manages to have a great melody. Released less than a week ago, go download Guards entire EP over at their bandcamp FO' FREE.

Guards - "Sail It Slow (featuring Cults)"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking for a little more rock in your life? Baltimore's Sri Aurobindo take a few tricks from the Black Keys and other contemporary lo-fi psych-rock staples and create a distorted, hazed-out, funk rock track reminiscent of the late 60's. You can stream Sri Aurobindo's full LP at their bandcamp and download it for $7. Or if your a vinyl nut, get it in limited edition translucent green.

NEW: Cut Copy - Where I'm Going

Cut Copy are giving away their new song "Where I'm Going" FO' FREE. Just head to their website to download the tune. Not sure if this song will end up on their still untitled new album, but it will be released as a limited etched 7" in August.

In an effort to describe the song, the band stated: "The kind of track Brian Wilson would've written if he took ecstacy and hung out in 60's London instead of California."

Gayngs playing D.C. in October

You know if Prince showed up, it was going down. Our favorite supergroup played their first show in Minneapolis in May and a video for "The Gaudy Side of Town" is below. Gayngs played their entire debut album, Relayted, start to finish and judging from the way things went, a complete U.S. tour should be coming soon. For now though, you'll have to catch them at one of the few venues they're playing in October.
