Diving Blog and the Butterfly

Josh, in his infinite wisdom, thought it kosher to let me try my hand at the blog-craft. I’ve long been a child of the blogosphere (from back when piping hot content was ladled out without Denton’s sanction), and I feel that it’s about time I stopped wandering through the link-y wilderness and tried settling down on my own patch of land. If that be a music blog (and seriously, where else would anyone speak the name Lenny Kravitz, even reproachfully?), then I will dutifully superman that ho. The kids are still doing that, right?

Anyway, it seems that Josh has the local/industry insider beat, and Adam is manning the mainstream/pop culture desk, so hopefully I can get by with some broader critical posts until I find my voice. I’d rather not descend into the journalistic puff-piece that is the trend story, but I read too much Slate for that particular dream to be realistic. Official first post on the way…
