Coachella Promoters Launching NYC Fest

Rumors are spreading like herpes on a North Philly Hooker's va-jay-jay that Coachella producers, AEG Live/Goldenvoice, are staging a summer festival at Liberty State Park. This is being dawned the NYC Coachella Fest. No official word on what the name of the event will be, but my vote will be cast as The "Josh is too broke to drive/fly to Coachella, but NYC he can do" Festival.

This event will compete directly with the Vineland Festival, an event promoters say is located in Philadelphia. Apparently "Philadelphia" got up and moved 40 minutes east and relocated in N.J. because that's where Vineland is happening. If you remember, Vineland was supposed to happen at Fairmount Park, until The Fun Police showed up. No word yet specifically on what the lineup will look like there or NYC.

Meanwhile, an announcement is expected in the coming days revealing the lineup for this year's Coachella festival, to be held April 25-27 in Indio, Calif. You can rest assured that it doesn't look like this:
