New Releases

Hannah Montana and Beck both come with new releases today, but don't get too excited; neither of them are coming with new studio material. Beck is giving Odelay the deluxe-edition treatment. The new edition comes with more than twice as many tracks as the original, including unreleased session tunes. Mars Volta release The Bedlam in Goliath. This album includes Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante, a new drummer Thomas Pridgen and a boatload of returning members. Tech-savvy fans might want to hold off for a week until a different edition of the album drops. That version will come with a USB stick featuring the album, a video and artwork, and will be encased in a wooden Ouija board, which ties in with the album's kooky theme. Monthly content updates will also grant fans B-sides, more videos, a video game and beyond. Xiu Xiu drop Women as Lovers. The first 2,000 copies will have a bonus DVD housing 16 music videos, four tour films and 100 photos. Hype Machine Vampire Weekend release their self-titled disc today as well. Other notable releases today include Bullet For My Valentine, Louis XIV, and probably the most anticipated comeback of the year, Robyn. Will she ever top "Show Me Love"? I doubt it. I don't even know what labels are thinking sometimes.

Digging through the bargain bins,
Josh
