Animal Collective for the sane person. It's clear that Chicago's YAWN have spent more time in front of the computer than in the garage space. Beeps and boops, tribal rhythms, dance beats, and most importantly catchy hooks, YAWN are guaranteed to pique your curiosity. If Animal Collective spent less time trying to create "sounds" and more time trying to create music, it would sound like this. Infectiously upbeat, catchy, and showing a whole lot of promise, YAWN are officially on my radar.
