Kings of Leon fans can now wear jeans just as skin-tight as the Followills themselves! But there's one problem: you might have to take out a second mortgage on your home to afford 'em.
The former beer-swelling, fist-fighting rockers have created trendy new fashion line, KOL x S2A, via the Paris-based company Surface to Air. Their 12-piece collection just hit stores in Europe, and will arrive in the U.S. on Jan. 25. Check out the collection here and prepare to open your wallet wide: a black bomber jacket runs about $1185; a t-shirt $114; skinny jeans $225; black leather ankle boots $578; flat-brimmed fedora $267; flannels shirts $180; a belt $200; and a bandana $104. Style doesn't come cheap apparently!
BUT SERIOUSLY?! I'm trying to hang on to one shred of respect for these guys and it's becoming difficult. This is the same band who, in recent interviews with Spin, explained that they never wanted to be this big. The same band who hates seeing a new crop of older fans at their shows, and the same band who now watches "real" fans throw up the middle finger or turn their backs on the group whenever the guys break into "Use Somebody" live. Question for KoL: Do you think this is helping your argument?! You're trying to gain your real fans back and you do that by opening up a clothing line with $1,200 bomber jackets and $114 t-shirts?
In other "oh please these guys have sold out so bad they should just change their name by now" news, a remix album featuring Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Mark Ronson, and more is also in the works. Keep up the good work guys!
