The dissolution of a relationship by way of conceptual movements. In what seems to be an incredibly repetitive video at first glance, "Islands" replays a short snippet of choreography, each time changing just so slightly on each new take.
It definately took a couple of times watching this video to really understand what was going on. The choreography is really interesting, especially how the man was the only one who kept trying, but it is the female dancer at the end all by herself. Kind of made me think about how women sometimes let go of a relationship while guys still go through the motions, but in the end, (some) women don't ever really let go.
