Mari Solis released an EP last month and brings forth some passionate, powerful, and soulful vocals. Something we've been missing for some time now. By far, the standout track is "Something Wrong" - which you can listen to over at her myspace page. This girl is 15 YEARS OLD! and sounds like a seasoned veteran. Hooray For Earth keeps one foot in Cambridge, MA and one in NYC. I can't really come up with any obvious comparisons to another band - which is good I suppose. They've played with Passion Pit, Oh No Ono, Deer Tick and others. They also have a video featuring puppets driving a car for the song "Surrounded By Your Friends".
