I know I've been doing a lot of posting on The Kooks recently, but I have just one more. Here's the video for the first single, titled "Always Where I Need To Be", off The Kooks upcoming album, Konk. It's exactly what I expected from them; a straight up Brit-Pop tune that you can tap your foot to. How can you not like this music? June 5th in Philly!

Like Seacrest: Kooks Bassist OUT!
One of my favorite U.K. bands and promising acts, The Kooks, have lost their bassist. Max Rafferty decided to quit the band as the guys are preparing to drop their second album, Konk. The band released a statement on their myspace stating they would be continuing with forthcoming shows throught the U.K. and two shows in New York and L.A. Unfortunately, The Kooks won't be gracing Philly with their presence, but would you want to visit the city responsible for splitting your Motherland in two? Smells like they have something against freedom and the constitution if you ask me.The Kooks will return to the U.S. in May however, for a proper tour after their new album drops in April 15th. Expect to hear the same style music from Konk as you did on their first album Inside In/Inside Out (which attained triple-platinum status in the U.K.) The guys teamed up with the same producer to create a "good pop album...modern yet warm sound," according to frontman Luke Pritchard. Visit The Kooks myspace.
God save the queen,
Josh
